The Jubilee Conference of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) Cereal Chemistry Division was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Coogee Beach, Sydney, NSW in 2001. As part of this Conference, a one day symposium was held to review the history of the Division and its achievements since the first such conference in 1951.

The History of Cereal Chemistry in Australia documents that day’s proceedings. The book also includes a collection of special papers that both document the development of cereal chemistry in Australia and the achievements of Australia’s scientists, particularly those who have worked for the various State Departments of Agriculture and Primary Industries.
